We love these kind of events (and they seem to be pretty common in the Peterborough and Cambridge areas)…! Where an entire village comes together to put on an awesome party, with everyone chipping in – home cooked food (the chocolate tart was to die for, I’m now all chubby for my holiday next week), local ale, beautiful location.
We played in a marquee in the grounds of Polebrook Hall, a beautiful manor house (our changing area was the pool house, very swanky). I say ‘marquee’, it was actually an elaborate mish-mash off tents donated by various villagers. Let’s just say, I’m glad it didn’t rain! Amanda, Chris, Steve and the gang were so accommodating, it was easy to forget we were working (well, playing music with your mates is never really work, is it?). Did I mention the food? The cheesecake wasn’t bad either…
Thanks folks, I know we are due to see some of you again soon at Peterborough school next month, so until then – ciao for now!
