Wedding Band Chester
To quote the Pet Shop Boys; “Go West….!”…
Yes, in a welcome break from the A14 we made our merry way up the M6 (and across a bit) to the funky town of Chester for the wedding of the Bentleys. It was a pleasure to be back in the North West, and Mark was glad to make the three hour trip from Sawtry… đ
I had no worries about the Easter Egg calories, as we had a number of stairs to navigate to get into the room and the gig was a sweaty affair (due to venue restrictions on opening the windows). It was the British version of hiking in the alps followed by a sauna.
The venue is awesome though, a beautiful listed building which has been tastefully modernised into a swanky evening retreat. The wedding was a classy affair too, with the bride and groom taking their guests on a boat trip (where they performed their first dance). We also bumped into some familiar faces in Danny and Lisa, whose wedding we performed at in 2013 and it was lovely to see their little girl too. We are very grateful to Sam and Lon for inviting us to be a part of their special day and I believe we may well see you guys again too, as we are booked in for another wedding with one of your friends this year. đ
Tonight also saw an impromptu appearance from James Rawson on drums, as Tim was ‘otherwise engaged’ witnessing the birth of his baby boy Max Daniel Bowes (many congratulations Tim and Laura!). James did a flawless job learning the set and rocking the grooves and we are very grateful to him for stepping-in (thanks James!).
