Wedding Band Rugby, Sat 2nd April
Ashton Lodge, kind of becoming a second home for us this year, which is great as it’s on our dooorstep (well, not Mark’s..)
🙂
This weekend was Thom and Bethan’s wedding, and was possibly one of the most chilled-out weddings we’ve been involved in:
Me – “So Thom, did you bring the memory stick with the first dance on?”
Thom – “I might have it on my phone somewhere…”
That’s not to say it wasn’t immaculately planned; there was a team of videographers and camermen, popcorn and sweet display, and a barbershop quartet, with everything running like clockwork. All this was wrapped up in a really friendly, relaxed ‘vibe’ (with great weather!), culminating in a really enjoyable evening.
We also took the opportunity this evening to run our new lighting rig for the first time – two banks of stage lights, two moving head scanners, LED lasers, UV par cans, strobes and haze machine (I had to spend two hours the day before playing Tetris with it all to get it in my Volvo alongside the PA and my guitar rig…). Happy to report they look wicked, although slightly miffed as the air con unit was next to the dancefloor and kept blowing our haze away 🙁
Here is some lovely feedback from the bride and groom (thanks guys):
Just wanted to say a massive thankyou for playing our wedding on Saturday night! We had an incredible evening and had loads of people say how fantastic the band were! Thanks for creating such a fabulous atmosphere! We’d highly recommend you! Thanks again, Thom and Beth xx
